Aditya Pai Announces Campaign for California’s 45th Congressional District
Brea, CA – Lifelong public servant and Harvard-educated trial lawyer, Aditya Pai, today announces his campaign for the U.S House of Representatives from his home district, CA-45. A lifelong Democrat and Orange County native, the 31-year old multilingual immigrant says he is running to use government to improve the lives of middle-class families – and to represent each and every resident of north Orange County, Artesia, and Cerritos with sanity, humanity, decency, and respect. “As our community emerges from a global pandemic, we ought to elect leaders whose vision is fixed firmly forward to brighter days ahead – not the petty squabbles of the past,” said Pai. “I’m running because it is time for my generation to step up, and to show how we move past the division, loss, loneliness, and isolation that we have all just endured. Let’s move forward to build a future where the American Dream is a lived reality for all of us.”
“That future demands an honest federal government, world-class constituent services, fully-funded and safe schools, affordable housing, and an economy that empowers workers and small businesses - not large corporations. Our politicians have lost sight of what matters to everyday people. When elected, I will work tirelessly to make sure that the doors of opportunity this community opened for me are open for everyone who calls CA-45 home.
Pai for CA-45 aims to bring our community together to identify the real needs of middle-class families in the district, and begin addressing them – immediately – through a combination of listening and action.
In particular, the campaign will address the struggles of small businesses to remain open through the pandemic; the affordability crisis of workers and families facing rising rents and mortgages in Orange County; and the need to tackle congressional corruption with a ban on stock trading by lawmakers and a lifetime ban on lobbying by former lawmakers. Pai stresses the need for change “so that politics is about making a difference – not making a living.” To learn more, please visit www.paiforcongress.com and stay tuned on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates and events.
